Mr. Chris Cullen

Mrs. Leah Moore

Leah Moore was born and raised in Georgia and grew up in a loving Christian family that was very active in their home church. She surrendered to Christ when she was 12-years-old and enjoys serving others and teaching the Bible.
In 2004, Leah traveled with her family to lead a Christ-centered sports camp on Kauai. During the trip, God gripped her heart for the people and began leading her to pursue vocational ministry, which she has been involved with for over 15 years. Leah attended North Greenville University in South Carolina and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies in 2008. During her summers at North Greenville, she returned to Kauai to serve alongside local churches in reaching their communities with the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Leah later received her Master of Arts in Human Services from Liberty University. She has worked in children's ministry for over 15 years, as well as in public schools with special needs students and as a private tutor.
Leah and her husband, Matt, have lived on Kauai almost five years and try to keep up with their very active, curious, outdoor-loving son named Caleb. They enjoy living on Kauai and are thrilled to be a part of the KCA ohana where students receive a complete, Christ-centered education.

Ms. Christa Larsen-Sorterup

2nd-3rd GRADE

Christa Larsen-Sorterup moved to the island of Kaua’i from Maine to teach at Kauai Christian Academy. She completed her degree in Elementary Education at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois in May 2016. Her passion for teaching children and the great plans of the Lord has brought her to the 2nd and 3rd grade class at KCA. She seeks to live out the love of Christ and a life devoted to Him through her service at KCA. Miss Larsen loves reading and is delighted to be able to share that love with her class this year.

Mrs. Amanda Milgrim

Amanda Milgrim is the daughter of a missionary family to the Marshall Islands and the FSM
(Federated States of Micronesia). She has taught history, math, and speech in both middle school and high school. Her husband's name is Nathaniel, and she has two children. Her daughter Aven is 4, and her son Jude is 6 months old. Her degree is a Bachelor's of Arts in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History from Northland International University in Dunbar, WI. She has not been teaching for long, but she’s very passionate about Christian education because she believes that a Christian worldview should be at the center of a child's education. She says, “I'm so blessed to be working at KCA this year!”

Mrs. Jennifer Plunkett

A drama queen? Perhaps not in a derogatory sense, but Jennifer Plunkett is the queen of drama at KCA. In addition to being the wife of administrator Daniel Plunkett and mother of Judah, Titus, and Darius, Jennifer also enjoys the stage: both acting on it and helping KCA students to excel on it. She believes that drama is an excellent display of God’s creativity and teaches her students to give Him the glory for their performances and talents. On the island, Jennifer has performed in the shows Cinderella as a stepsister and Willy Wonka as Mrs. Gloop for the Hawaii Children’s Theatre. She has also directed 3 Christmas plays and a May Day play for KCA over the last 5 years.
